Introduction to the Nike Zoom Kobe VII The The Kobe VII System: Attack Fast and Attack Strong ![]() Attack Fast: For players with a speed-based game, there’s the Attack Fast insert. Attack Fast features a Phylon midsole with Zoom units in the forefoot and heel for lightweight responsiveness. It also has a low-cut, power-stretch cuff that hugs the foot for added support. The sock-like fit eliminates the need for a traditional tongue and innersleeve, which also reduces weight. Attack Strong: Those who play a more physical game will prefer the Attack Strong insert, which offers a full-length Cushlon midsole and an ankle cuff for a comfortable ride with great support. Sensory cuffs are made of an engineered power-stretch material that is padded and perforated for comfort and ventilation. Same Basic shape over 3 years, talk about sticking with what works. no hate though, I got 4 pairs of Vs, still haven't run across a CW of the VIs that i like, but i like the shoe(probably just gonna iD some).
i think MJ only went like 2 years with the same shape(3 & 4, 6 & 7)

I've been trying to tell people over at NT that the $170 price is for the Surpreme versions only, but some idiots don't bother to read.
$140 is expected and I'm fine with that after they kept the VI's the same price as the V's.

Heel piece is from the newer hyperdunks…I like. Still liking the big exposed carbon fiber. Is that and exposed air unit in the heel??

I don't think it's an exposed air unit, not for zoom. Like what I hear and see so far, hopefully they don't just make all the hyped pairs supreme pricing

Seems like the Kobe VII might be doing the Lebron thing:
shark = V1 cheetah = V2 mamba = P.S. ![]() Animal Kingdom Kobe. This Nike Basketball China catalog shows a shark, a cheetah, and a black mamba snake surrounding the Kobe “Sheath” logo. Thanks to CK’s great Chinese readership (♥) we have some translations and potential new details to Kobe Bryant’s next signature shoe, the Nike Zoom Kobe VII. Let’s start with the imagery. Each of the pictured animals are situated next to bolded Chinese characters. In the theme of Kobe’s next shoe, sharks represent power and strength. Cheetahs represent speed and toughness. Black mamba snakes represent the ultimate predator. With that context setting the table, according to someone who says they attended a Nike Spring 2012 meeting in China, we’re being told the Zoom Kobe VII concept represents two shoe models. There will be a regular version which features all the typical trimmings of the Zoom Kobe VII’s we’ve already shown you and an elevated price point Zoom Kobe VII “Supreme” edition. We’re also informed that there will be confirmed Zoom Air units embedded or attached directly to the bottom of the insoles and the fractal geometric outsole pattern (a bunch of triangles, basically – sorry herringbone traction fans) are what was given the green light for production. The higher price point Zoom Kobe VII Supreme supposedly showcases an internal booty/ankle fit system, transforming the shoes from cheetah “fast” to shark “strong”. If this story sticks true, it wouldn’t be a first in the Kobe Bryant line. Nike presented and sold the Zoom Kobe II concept as a three model shoe pack, exhibiting alternate styles for “Sheath,” “Strength,” and “Lite” looks. counterkicks.com |

Shark? Going back to the Kobe I type inspiration
Randy, I don't see where it says anything about the Kobe VII being V1, V2, and PS.
Just because there might be 3 models doesn't mean it has anything to do with Lebron.
I doubt anyone on UTA even bought any Kobe II's, but like the article states, the II's had 3 versions as well and that was 5 years ago.
