Glad we still have the pre-sale system up here in Canada. Paid for my pair a month ago, so I can just walk in and pick them up any time. I'm too old to worry about lining up with a bunch of tweens to get a pair.

A few people have said they're better quality, but I don't know.

Either way, if they were any worse I'm sure we would of heard of it by now seeing as how bad the 2006's were.

Sha: I compared them with my DS pair of the '06 release, and I don't know if people were comparing them with their '06 beaters, but I honestly don't see much of a difference between the two shoes, quality-wise.

Honestly, they're virtually identical, in my opinion. Again, I'm speaking only about the quality. Obviously, I haven't worn them, so I don't know if the 2012 pair's midsole will crack, but aside from that, I don't know what all the talk about them being better was all about. Did Brand Jordan start that rumor?

Which material did you prefer 2012 Military leather or 2012 White/Cements?

The leather is identical to the leather of the '06 retros. I kept hearing on review videos that the leather on the 2012's was "much better" than the '06 retros... simply untrue.

I actually like the softer leather, but that's just a personal preference. I find the leather on the white/cements feels a little "plasticy".

One other thing I noticed... when comparing the leather of the 2012 military blues to the 2012 white cements, you can see that, while the military's are labelled "white" and not off-white, next to the white/cements, you can clearly see that they are off white. They are not as off-white as the '06 retros, but they are definitely not totally white. They are somewhere between the white/cements and the '06s.

Again, I really can't see a difference between the '06 and the 2012 pairs, in terms of quality.
