threw mine on real quick and they feel better than 06s from what I remember (sold mine a while ago) I just remember feeling like they were creasing with every step. a little precreasing but nothing too major. I'm a fan of the no glossy paint. matches the wings and heel tab

I agree 100% that people who said the 2012 pair is "much better" than the '06 pair don't know what they're talking about.  They probably don't even have a pair of the '06's and are basing their opinion either on what others said.  I still think that if someone did some heavy research, they would find the rumour about the better quality of the 2012's was started by someone associated with Nike/JB.

Mine weren't DS, but they were DS for the longest. The toe on my 06's seemed like it was very plush. The 2012's felt different to me. Both shoes feel like they crease easily, but a little bit different in the materials imo.

I bet it was JB who started the rumor, but people just want to believe the quality is better in order to justify their purchase.

Only reason I copped was because i sold my 06 pair and I know they'll go for more in the future in case I want to get rid of them.

Not worth the $160 + Tax , but I think everyone knew that already.

Went to grab a pair this morning, tried on a pair and absolutely hated the shoe. All these pics that I fell in love with, and I hate the shoe.

Oh well, more money for the 12s.

How does that really work in Canada though....The minimum wage in Canada is more than it is here correct?

Minimum wage in California is $8.00. Now obviously not everyone makes that, but usually the higher a states minimum wage in the U.S the higher prices seem to be for everything or vice versa.

Our minimum wage is $9.50, but we are taxed a lot more than the U.S.  For example, besides the 30% income tax I pay, we also pay 14.5-15% in sales tax on everything we purchase.  That's 5% federal sales tax and 9.5-10% provincial sales tax.  For example, the IV's retailed at $189.99 here, plus 15% sales tax = $218

Add to that, the price we pay for gas compared to the U.S.  Our average gas price is $1.30-1.35/Litre (sometimes more), which is over $5.00/U.S. gallon.  Things add up pretty quickly up here.

the 06's just chipped up like crazy. If these don't chip up then I would consider them superior to the 06. Otherwise everything else looked similar to my 06 pair that I recently sold.

on a side note it's funny how that sample og military pair i owned is back on ebay, in crumbling condition. i sold them to the buyer flawless for a pretty penny. just couldnt keep them though i love samples but i had a feeling they wouldnt hold up too long
