You didn’t forget did you? We’re knee deep in Olympic season with Jordan Brand being particularly focused on red, white, and blue sneaks, but hopefully you didn’t lose sight of what’s even further out on the horizon. That’s right folks, later in 2012 we will be treated to yet another grail status release: the Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’. Pinch yourself, this isn’t a dream and we’ve got the photos to prove it. Pictured here is a GS pair of the 2012 version of the Air Jordan IV in that beloved black/varsity red colorway, currently carrying with it rumors of a Black Friday release date. Click through with us for all the angles and let us know your early thoughts on the 2012 retro of the Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’. Photos:MarqueeSole

Those clearly are not Mens but good look nonetheless. I pray for no ashy suede on the Mens release pair.

they always use the nice Durabuck on the kids shoes still...smh, I PRAY that we get these in the proper form. But I know we won't.
Of all the changes, the factory-variant non-parallel mesh bothers me the most with the Jordan IVs from 2004-forward...They're terrible. Atleast they have the colorway correct |

I never understood why they make the sole of the GS different than the men's version on IV's. They don't do that on any other Jordan.

^^^ My wife is a big fan of the IV's, and wants a pair of military blue IV's, but hates that the sole is different than the men's and won't buy the GS version.

^ Not to mention that the sole on the Military IV GS pairs has the shiny midsole paint unlike the mens version. Was going to pick up a pair for my gf till she saw that.

Now that you’ve got this weekend’s massive retro release (the Air Jordan VI ‘Olympic’) out of the way, let’s shift focus to a pair arriving later in the year that should have even more folks scrambling to cop. That pair? The Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’, whose 2012 retro is pictured for the first time in adult sizes here. With a rumored Black Friday release date attached, this pair promises that all the Air Jordan retro heat we’ve been enjoying over the past couple of months shows no sign of slowing up towards the end of 2012. Click through with us for photos of the Air Jordan IV in Black/Cement Grey/Fire Red (and keep calm on the price tag as the box does indeed suggest an MSRP of $160) and stick with Sneaker News for more info as it becomes available. Blah....they're EXACTLY what I expected....
Probably a step up from the CDPs/Promo-Fakes though... I'll copp if my bread is right, but they aren't a priority like they should/would be if they were done with proper durabuck (I'd even get over the ****ed up mesh and Jumpman logo, hell at this point I could not careless about the Jumpman/Nike Air thing tbh) |

What will the Jordan Brand output look like once the summer fades away and the 2012 London Olympics are in the books? We’ll be back to the norm of retro releases that don’t carry a consistent theme week to week, with more varied pairs being up for grabs as 2012 stretches on. One of those pairs is of course the Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’, a retro you can put on par with last year’s Black Friday release in terms of anticipation. We’ve got another look at the full size version of the sneaker, showing off a pretty faithful recreation of this immortal silhouette that we’re all looking forward to rocking come November. Click through with us to check out the 2012 Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’ and let us know if these are on your must have list.
